Pirmuhamedov Rahim [Dec 20, 1896 (Jan 1, 1897) - Tashkent - Feb 16, 1972] - one of the first Uzbek film actors. People's Artist of Uzbekistan (1948). He graduated from the Moscow Uzbek Drama Studio (1930). He began his creative career in 1918 in the K. Marx Theater troupe, and later worked in theaters in Samarkand and Namangan.

In 1924, he won the "comedians' competition" held in Tashkent. He became a film actor in 1927. Pirmuhamedov was known as a master of episodic roles. He was one of the leading film actors since the era of silent cinema (as Umar's friend in "Under the Mosque Domes"; Jo'raboy in "Umbrella Cart"; Akromxon in "Ravot Wolves"; Saidmurod in "The Leper Girl", etc.). During this period, he absorbed the best traditions of silent cinema, preparing an important foundation for his subsequent work. In the first Uzbek sound film "The Oath," Rahim created the image of a militiaman.

In the creative work of Pirmuhamedov Rahim, the traditions of folk theater, the achievements of modern stage art, and the aesthetic culture of cinema harmonized; he created deeply national, true-to-life images such as the Amir's spy ("Nasriddin in Bukhara"), Abulmalik ("Alisher Navoiy"), Abdulxayr ("Abu Ali ibn Sina"), and a caravanserai guard/bald man ("Tahir and Zukhra"; "The Adventures of Nasriddin").

It is characteristic of Pirmuhamedov's work to give his characters satirical and humorous colors using various gestures, unique mimicry, and other means, showcasing them in various dramatic and comedic situations. Negative characters such as the murderer in "Furqat," the Qushbegi in "Days Gone By," Arslonbek in "The Neighborhood is Full of Talk," and the ticket inspector in "You Are Not an Orphan" are distinguished by their completeness, variety, and richness in satirical colors and national flavor. Roles such as Ibrahim the cook ("When Flowers Bloom"), Akmal the comedian ("Natashaxonim"), and the Minister ("Tale of Two Hearts") have taken their place in the annals of Uzbek cinema. Mullaboy in the film "Intensity" was his final role. He was awarded the "Order of Great Service" (2003).
